Development

Real estate development has been at the core of H&S Financial Corporation since its founding in the early 1970s. Over the decades, H&S has developed and financed dozens of commercial and residential projects throughout the Western United States.

Noteworthy commercial developments have included the more than 160,000-square-foot Grant Creek Shopping Center in Missoula, Montana; the nearly 160,000-square-foot Bridger Peaks Town Center in Bozeman, Montana; and Mission Square Shopping Center in San Diego, California. In addition to ground-up development, H&S has overseen numerous improvements, expansions, renovations, and repositioning projects across its real estate portfolio.

Noteworthy residential developments have included The Pines in Ketchum, Idaho, consisting of more than 20 single-family homes; the 10-home Frenchman’s development in Ketchum, Idaho; and Crown Ranch in Sun Valley, Idaho, which included more than 30 single-family homes as well as numerous spec and custom homes.

Prior to founding H&S Financial Corporation, Harold D. “Hal” McNee Jr. served as Vice President of Development for Cannon Development Corporation, one of the largest apartment development companies in the Southwest at the time. During his tenure, he was involved in the development of numerous multifamily residential projects throughout the Southwestern United States.
